ciopfs software package provides FUSE case insensitive on purpose file system, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ciopfs
ciopfs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ciopfs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ciopfs *
You will get with ciopfs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
